When it comes down to it, I love Thesis!

Thesis Theme for WordPress: Options Galore and a Helpful Support CommunityWhen I started getting into developing my own websites in the last couple years, I hooked up with Thesis for Wordpress rather quickly because of a suggestion by a fellow author. I have thoroughly enjoyed using it to develop my sites and since have been hired to design a number of other people’s sites, and have found it to be THE BEST format for my clients, especially the ones who have a low budget. I like to create sites that the client, even with very little technical knowledge, can make simple edits and additions to. And Thesis’ flexibility allow me to take a blank canvas and create just about anything.

Now a few months ago, I thought that I should branch out and try Joomla because I didn’t want to be pegged as a “one-trick pony” so I created a couple sites using some really nice templates from Pixels Paradise (I even recreated my Websites with Aloha site in Joomla). I liked the look and feel, and professionalism of these templates, and the idea that I had another tool in my toolbelt, however whenever I thought about making edits on these sites, I realized that I was dreading it because Joomla just isn’t as user-friendly and intuitive as Thesis. Don’t worry, I will change my web design site back to Thesis as soon as I have a spare minute!

I tried to be fair, I tried to be un-biased, but I have to admit that I love Thesis, so why bother working with another format? I realize that it’s because I’m more familiar with it, and I could get that from more experience with another platform, but when you fall in love, do you really have to keep looking around for a new love, or can you simply be satisfied and rest assured that you’ve needn’t look any further?

The other awesome thing about Thesis is that I feel part of a community of other Thesis-lovers. How fun to be a fan-boy of a WP theme! Not to mention being able to type in essentially any question I have and always find an answer. Thank you to all those amazing Thesis tutors out there. Here are some of my favorites:
