About A Little Bit More Fun, Inc
Our Story
Our company began as Inspiration Publications Inc in 2007, and published our first book Where’s the Map? Create Your OWN Guide to Life After Graduation in 2008. We learned a LOT in our first few years, about business, about writing, and about how we want to live our lives.
There came a day when we realized that if we had it to do all over again, we would do things VERY differently. So we started over. We changed our name, rebuilt our company, rewrote our philosophy, and we scrapped our past products to make room for a completely new product line. We’ve just begun this new journey with A Little Bit More Fun Inc, and we’re having more fun already!
A Little Bit More Fun is located on the sunny Kohala Coast on the Big Island of Hawaii. The company is owned by us, Beth and Jim Hood. When we are not sitting at our Apple computers playing with the latest technology, we love to take in a beautiful sunset, go swimming, or walk on the beach.

Our Philosophy
It is our belief that when people are keenly aware of what is most important to them and what they want to get out of life, it will inspire them to live life with intention. And living life with intention can not only make life “a little bit more fun”—it can make it a whole lot more fun!
Our Values
Technology — We focus on using technology to make our business run as efficiently as possible (because efficiency can be fun) and we strive to use the latest technologies in product creation and distribution to help reduce waste, keep up with the times, and have a good excuse to use cool products like the Apple iPad.
Experiential Learning — We believe that the greatest learning about oneself comes from actually doing something and not just reading about it. Our materials promote hand’s on living and learning, and provide actionable steps for how to integrate ideas into day-to-day life.
Community — We want our employees, contractors, partners and sponsors to work with us because it makes their lives a little bit more fun. We’d like our customers to come back to us again and again because we provide something that has truly enhanced their lives. We also strongly believe in supporting other businesses, organizations, and individuals who have inspired us and/or have found a way to make life more fun for others. Within our products and services we strongly encourage finding mentors, interacting with one’s community, and sharing ideas with others.
Having Fun — Having fun doesn’t mean we’re surfing or watching movies all day. What makes someone have more fun in their lives is based upon what’s most fun for them. We think working can (and should be) fun and we choose projects based on what would be fun for our employees to create and for our customers to use.
Inspiration — We seek inspiration by observing other people and their creative work in order to reflect upon and improve our company and our personal lives.
Freedom — We have more fun when we feel free to live, work and play as we choose, and when we feel free we are more willing to give back to others. Within our company we strive to create an environment where our employees have freedom of their schedule and location.
